Street Shine Mobile Detailing is based in Tulare and covers Goshen, about 14 miles northwest. Goshen is about 14 miles northwest of us, right where Highway 99 meets Highway 198. It is a rail and trucking town, so a lot of what we detail there are work trucks and daily drivers that live outside and show it. Road film and diesel grime off the 99 are the usual job in Goshen.
A lot of what we clean in Goshen has been sitting next to a highway or a rail yard. Road film builds up in a film you can feel with the back of your hand, and it needs a proper decontamination wash rather than another trip through a tunnel.

Read moreGoshen is where Highway 99 meets Highway 198, and it is a freight town before it is anything else. Goshen Junction is a long-haul rail connection, there is a truck stop on the 99, and warehouse and distribution sites keep going in west of the highway. Park a vehicle in that environment and it picks up diesel soot and highway road film, which together make a greasy grey layer that holds dirt against the paint instead of letting it rinse away.
That film is the whole job in Goshen. You can feel it with the back of your hand, and it does not come off with soap because it is bonded, not sitting loose. It takes an iron remover and a clay step to break the bond, and then the paint underneath usually turns out to be in better shape than the owner expected. Brake dust off the 99 does the same thing to wheels, and on a work truck it is often years deep.
Interiors in Goshen are usually the heavier half. Work trucks collect valley dust, spilled coffee, gravel ground into the floor mats and a film on the inside of the windshield that makes the morning sun unbearable. None of that is a vacuum job. It needs the seats moved, steam into the fabric, and the glass done properly from the inside.
Goshen is about 14 miles northwest of us and a 17 minute drive, straight up Highway 99. It is one of the quicker runs we make even though it is not the closest town, because it is highway the whole way.
We are comfortable working on vehicles that have actually been used, and we would rather you did not clean it out first. A flat spot about a car and a half wide is enough, and we bring our own water and power, so a yard or a lot works as well as a driveway.

No. Goshen is about fourteen miles northwest, right where the 99 meets the 198, so it is a short run for us.
No, that is most of what we do in Goshen. Tell us honestly what condition it is in when you ask for a price, because a truck that has not been cleaned in two years takes longer than one that has, and we would rather quote it right than surprise you.
