Hanford is about 24 miles west of us and the Kings County seat, with the historic Courthouse Square at the middle of the old downtown. It is our longest regular run, and worth it, so we usually group Hanford bookings together. Because it is a longer drive, booking ahead gets you a better slot in Hanford.
We try to group Hanford jobs on the same day rather than making the drive twice. If a neighbour or someone at work wants theirs done as well, say so when you book and we will usually do both in one trip.

Read moreHanford is the furthest town we cover and a different kind of job from the farm-country runs. It is a Kings County town with an eleven-block historic downtown, Courthouse Square built around the 1896 courthouse and the 1897 sheriff's office, China Alley dating to 1877, and Superior Dairy on the square since the 1920s. People drive into that downtown and park on the street, and street parking is where cars pick up sap, bird mess and dust from the trees around the square.
Because Hanford has a real downtown and a weekend car culture around it, a good share of what we are asked for here is finish work rather than rescue work. Paint correction on a car that is already looked after, a ceramic coating to keep it that way, headlights brought back to clear on something otherwise clean. That is different from Goshen or Tipton, and it means the time goes into the last ten percent.
The valley basics still apply. Kings County water is hard, so nothing gets left to air-dry, and summer heat over 100 means working the shade side and drying with forced air rather than letting the sun set spots into the finish.

Because it is a 30 minute drive each way, we plan Hanford around grouping two or three jobs in the same trip. A few days of notice lets us put you in one of those runs. Last-minute Hanford bookings are possible, they just come down to whether we are already heading that way.
